    Hi Liz, I just recently discovered your site and I gotta say I love your style of writing! I have a question about the recipe for the homemade mayo….it calls for mustard, are you talking about the spice mustard or prepared mustard (you know, the kind you squirt on sandwiches)? Looking forward to making it!

      Aww Thank you Sheri! I’m so glad you like the blog :)

      I use normal cheap yellow mustard lol! It’s a good squirt {I’ve stopped measuring when I make it}
      Don’t hesitate to email me or find me on here if you need any help with making it!

    I’m hoping you can help me. I have seen in different paleo recipes ingredients that I don’t have access to like grass fed beef or free range chicken/turkey. What can I use? Thanks!

    • Liz says:

      Heyy!
      I’m so sorry it took me forever to get back to you! Things have been crazy around here!

      If it says grass fed beef of free range chicken. You can use whatever beef or chicken you find at the grocery store. It’s not the worst thing if you have to use regular beef or chicken.

      If there’s a certain recipe you need help with feel free to email it over to me and let me know which items you can’t get and I’ll try to help you find a substitute for them! {liz@paleoonabudget.com}

    Liz,
    My husband just started the Paleo diet and I just started cooking things other than frozen pizza. I have a question, we both adore pasta. I’ve had noodles made from zucchini before and while researching how to make a dish of that nature, I came across Paleo Pasta. I understand that the ingredients are Paleo friendly, but it seems to good to be true. Have you tried them? They are kind of expensive but I would imagine worth it if they wont be entirely retrogressive to all of the other work he has put into his diet.

    • Liz says:

      Heyy Dana,

      I haven’t tried them or heard of them.. From reading the ingredients it seems like all is well with it.. {I personally don’t know if I’d be able to eat it because my body doesn’t like xanthan or guar gum}. But I’d say to use it as a every now and then treat…instead of a main staple in the week {and wow yeah it is expensive.. I understand why.. but yeah price alone would make me say use it as a splurge / treat for you guys one night!}

      If you try them out I’d love to hear what you think of them!

      Also for a noddle like feel have you tried spaghetti squash or used string beans as a pasta? I know it’s not the same but its still yummy :-)
