Yes, I know… Didn’t update yesterday. Whoops.
So I worked out yesterday doing my crossfit-like warm up and yoga. Ended up having the worlds toughest day, so I’m not going to workout today, but tomorrow morning..yoga you are mine!
So because of the wicked hard day yesterday it’s been comfort food the last two nights.
Yesterday: Sweet Potato Chips, Deviled Eggs, and Stuffed Mushrooms
Tonight: Chili w/ Avocados, so so so good.
I know I should have taken pictures but in both cases I couldn’t not eat it right away.
But here’s a cool idea {which will happen tomorrow..and I WILL post pictures/ full recipe}:
Using left over chili in an omelet, world’s yummiest breakfast, and a great way to use the little bit of chili that’s not enough for a meal, but you still don’t want to throw it away {And I hate throwing that sorta stuff away}
So what budget tricks can I teach you today.. my favorite one ever of course…
EGGS!
Buy more eggs people, seriously. They’re what under two dollars for a dozen…and you can:
Boil, bake, fry, scramble, omelet, over-easy, use as a binder, and a ton more other things.
We eat them all the time, they’re the best ways to round out a meal, or to use in a pinch. They’re an awesome way to hold together meatloafs, pizza dough, pancakes, make breads, egg muffins rock because you can make a whole bunch and freeze them… this what you can do with them list is ever growing.
•When I’m super hungry at night, I grab an egg or two, scramble it up, little seasoning, little bit of almonds over the top.. and I’m done, and I’m full.
As I’ve pointed out numerous times ..It takes me less time to make an omelet (with onion and mushroom and green curry paste) than it does to toast a bagel, wait for it to cool down and then add cream cheese.
Ok…so.. more updates tomorrow, I promise!
Nice blog
