So some if not most of us are done with the whole 30! It was amazing. I feel a million times more energized and I don’t have that 3pm sluggish fest going on where I feel like I need 6 cups of coffee to make it through the night. { However I still enjoy my afternoon coffee } I will say the eating got really easy after the first week, knowing what to eat and what not to eat. Lots of steak was had and veggies. I also learned that dairy and I aren’t friends, because I haven’t had a pimple since I started and I don’t have that icky flu – like feeling. I also learned I’m not very tolerant with nuts oddly enough. I mean I thought half my problems were dairy or something else… but nope had an reaction to them twice. I’m keeping my intake down to a very very dull roar now.
But am I done? Oh gosh no. This has been way to OMG amazing to stop now. Am I going to allow myself the occasional feta, mushroom, and onion omelet or chocolate covered strawberries on my birthday? You betcha.
But I feel way to good to give it up. Plus, summer… beach… bathing suit.. ring a bell? Yeah, If you just finished up before you start on the path of adding things back in. Just really think about what you’re adding back in, do you really need it? Is it worth it, can you step back from it and have it in moderation? I know I can’t really eat certain things and step back {like chocolate, once a week or so and I’d be eating it daily }, so just think about it k?
Results you ask! Well Besides feeling better, my face seems to have tightened up a little and my skin looks better {a lot better}. But the best part? I have a pair of jeans that I really had to wiggle into and I never wore { And by wiggle you ladies know what I mean… that dance you do around the bedroom, the stretches, etc until you can button them. Then they’re uncomfy, etc}. But now? I put them on, buttoned them right up. No wiggle dance needed.
The happy dance though that went with it… priceless!
And yes, I’d do a Whole 30 challenge again in a heart beat. If you haven’t done one yet, totally do it. It’ll make such a huge difference in your life I promise 🙂
Oh and P.S. Don’t forget about the giveaway! Enter today {yes, you want to …. I know you do }
Could NOT agree with you more. I am 3 weeks into my challenge and I’m obsessed with how I’m feeling! I fully agree with you about what’s “worth” it. My main reason behind doing the Whole30 was to try and kick my after-dinner (after-lunch/after-snack… you get the picture) treat of dark chocolate. I realized how much of it was letting myself have and knew it had to stop! Don’t get me wrong, dark chocolate is definitely NOT gone from my life forever, but I’m promising myself to be MUCH more conscientious of when I reintroduce it… Love your blog and saving tips! Having just relocated to CA and waiting for my job to start, cost-conscientious ideas are my bff!! Take care & be well! :o)
