From The Book: I was never the kid who had to be told to eat her veggies; I loved them. But I never tried brussels sprouts {or B-sprouts, as I like to call ’em} until I went paleo. These yummy little things can be cooked to suit your tastes, and they’re inexpensive when you buy them frozen, making them the perfect side dish! I love to serve this spicy B-sprout recipe with mustard and burgers!
  • coconut oil, ghee, or butter
  • 1 {6-oz.} bag frozen brussels sprouts
  • 2–3 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes salt and pepper
  1. Before cooking,I like to leave the brussels sprouts on the counter for about 15 minutes so they start to thaw a little.
  2. Heat a skillet on the stove on medium-high with coconut oil, ghee, or butter. Then cut your brussels sprouts in half and add them to the pan to let them start to cook.
  3. Once these start to get a little bit of color on them, add in the apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper.
  4. Taste test the brussels sprouts for seasoning and adjust if needed. When they’re fully cooked and have some nice color on them, they’re done.
  5. Enjoy!
