I haven’t done a what’s new post in a while. And in fact, several things are either new, about to be new, or are just gosh darn exciting. I’m going to break it up into each exciting topic, so if one thing doesn’t interest you just skip it and go on to the next 🙂 Alright you ready?? You sure…it might be a ton of epic for one blog post…Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
The Most exciting news first!
Back to School we Go: I’m working on going back to school {And by working I mean saving up some money}. I’m going to go back for Holistic Nutrition and I’m pretty in love with the at-home program from The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. It’s going to be a while in the making and then obviously school itself will take a bit.. but I’m wicked excited! What does this mean for you guys? Well besides me being on a tight{er} budget..which heyy means I’ll get more creative with my dinners! It also means that when this is all said and done I’m going to be able to help you guys out a lot more then I do now with the whole “why does x,y,and z work” and “If I do this what will it lead to”. Which is going to make us all much happier campers! I’m also going to {eventually} set up online and be able to offer really ridiculously reasonable rates — I know some people need more help with nutrition and all that goes with it, beyond whats available for free. So my goal is to be able to help them out without breaking their bank!
Daily Food Logs: I suck hardcore at being accountable for my food some days, I’m learning more and more that just because people say “You can eat until your full with paleo” doesn’t make it true! So I’ve learned to portion… that’s going swimmingly… it’s more the now making sure I eat when I should and what times are best with my workout. What foods fuel me better than others, etc, etc So to do that… we go to a daily food log! Where I’ll have how much water I’m drinking, what my workout was, what I ate, how much I slept, etc etc. I’m going to put up a section on the blog with it. That way if anyone wants to see budget eating day to day or just how I go from my Meal Plans to my actually daily eating… it’ll be there for you!!
{And if this stuff is up here, I’m so much more likely to actually keep up with it then if It’s just on my iPad}
New Pages: I’m working on a few new pages for us. A Recipes 101, to talk about substitute ingredients, fresh vs. dried, fresh vs. canned, etc. That way if you don’t like something I’ve used or want to know what you can sub lets say KerryGold Butter for you’ll have an easier time finding it {I’ll make sure to link to the page on every recipe post!}. I’m also going to have a few more new{er} pages/ sections up as well!
Reviews and Recipes: I’ve got some fun summertime recipes coming up your way! That way you can stay cool and eat well without having to have the oven on full blast! Reviews wise I’ve found a few new products {a new tea yay!!} that I’m in love with… want to make sure it’s shared with you guys 🙂
Little Mini E-Book: You heard right..it’s going to be little and mini and cute. Just a quick easy reference book for you guys to take with you and load up on your smart phones, iPads, tablets, etc. It’s going to walk through step by step on using your store circular to build your shopping list, coupons, making a weekly menu, etc etc. Most of the information is scattered across the site but I figure having everything in one spot {with pictures} would help some people out 🙂
Step-By-Step: Anyone remember that show? Haha now I’m totally a geek… anyhoo! I’m thinking about a few step-by-step videos to do for you guys. The mayo is totally going to be one of them and possibly a few others. But if there are any recipes that are tricky that you want a video for… Let me know! I’d love suggestions!!
Mmmm Me thinks this is more than enough for updates for the day…. Hopefully you guys are just as excited as I am. Because I’m freaking bouncing around at all the cool stuff we got going on! Summer is going to totally rock 🙂
This all sounds awesome!!!
Excited for all the upcoming stuff!
(Step by step, day by day… Totally used to love that show lol.)
I am excited about your ebook! I am a noob when it comes to Paleo and find making a menu plan daunting. I could use all the help I can get.
