Heyy Everyone!!! Evan {from Not Just Paleo} and I did our first Podcast together!! It was so so much fun and cannot wait to do another! Evan is super cool and is into supplements / working out/ other stuff that I might not normally cover {or I just glaze over}. So we thought it’d be pretty epic to do a podcast together {and we were right!}
So take a listen, have fun, enjoy!
Let me know what questions you might have that you want answered and we’ll include them in the next episode {pinky swear promise}! You can email them to me: Liz@paleoonabudget.com or to Evan: evan@notjustpaleo.com or leave a comment here 🙂

Thanks Liz, there shall be more to come soon! Super fun
I think you guys should have two songs in your intro music. One for Liz, one for Evan, and then do a little crossfade between them. Of course, that means the songs need to kind of compliment each other, for that to work.
One thing worth mentioning is making sure you get some sun during the Winter months. I keep my Vitamin D supplements up really high (12000 IU every day) because I tend to be deficient. I can tell when I haven’t been taking it, I feel really gloomy on cloudy days!
And, not exactly what you’re discussing, but I think it’s worth discussing managing “cheat meals” or any kind of digression from your usual diet when health issues require that you stay on track. I’ve been going nutty lately because if I don’t stay super strict paleo, I have gut pain and other digestive issues. I’ve been finding paleo-friendly treats to make every few weeks so I can feel a little better about it, and now I make sure to have at least one different meal a week (cooking something completely from scratch/different than usual). That helps break up the tedium.
Hey Tasha, I work outdoors even in the winter so I am probably one of the few people getting enough natural vitamin D and K this time of year.
The importance of bright light in general is something that I talked about on episode 9 of the podcast, you should listen to that one also!
But, for when I am trapped inside or there is just a general lack of sunshine at this time of the year, I have a full-spectrum light box. It’s insanely bright and regulates your natural circadian rhythm. It makes you feel good just to be around it. If you’re curious I have a link on my site under “Store” It’s called a light box.
